Wedding Prep - Engagement

I must write it somewhere.. the bad and good of my wedding preparation. and i guess this blog will serve the purpose. Just to express the feeling so i will remember how hard , how good to become 'WIFE'.

Started with the 'tunang' thingy, and it almost a year now! Gossh!! Naper lah kami tunang lama sangat ekk? hmmphh.. to be honest, reza and i need to kumpul our own expenses. You know lah .. from the makan makan, barang dapur, public door gift, VIP door gift, bunga telur, khemah , pelamin ,mak andam and so on. For most of the people would think that we are so belagak pandai.. but hey! our parents are not millionaire or so called kaya! And to be frank, me myself wanted this to be special. Kalau boleh tak mao susahkan mak and ayah. So we try to cari our own money aka save more for the coming Big Day.

Teringat masa nak bertunang dulu, my brother was the one yang tak habis habis dok tanya. Bila lagi? Bila lagi? .. errkghhh!! pening betul masa nie. And that time, reza baru ajer kerja 1 tahun. Being an abang sulong, reza was teragak2. Yelahkan..apa pulak parents cakap nanti or what other people would say....".. tak sempat balas jasa parents, adik adik..dah nak kawin". We did discuss the pros and cons directly with abang mie * my brother ) and he convinced us that everything will be ok and sesiapa nak diri masjid nie, insyallah murah rezeki. hahaha.. masa tu.. my gaji only left rm500 for saving. and reza? hmm as i remembered, rm 500 jugak kot. So tell me, nak kawin apa dengan saving rm1000 sebulan? dah tu kalau dah ikat pertunangan hanya 6 bulan? therefore we drag the Big Day to a year later. Masa nie tekad kami, hanya nak simpan duit. Calculate punyer calculate.. we need at about rm35K ( both sides ). Masa nie mmg dah tak pikir pasal pertunangan.. dok pikir, ' boleh ker kami save sebanyak tuu?! 35K? hmm buat beli rumah best nie! tapi utk kawin?wahh lesap dalam masa satu hari.. "

Apapun, lepas berfikir and discuss, as on 8 January 2005, reza sent off her parents and nenek to my house for a 'merisik' event. And this time luck on our side sbb Habib baru lepas buat Sale, so we grabbed the oppurtunity and bought cincin belah rotan and diamond ring for bertunang. Masa sarung cincin tu, macam macam perasan yg keluar. Happy ? Sedih? Sure lah happy.. yer tak?

And as the time goes by, i was busy decorating my kotak hantaran. Well, to tell the truth, im not an ART people..so i really hate doing the Kotak Hantaran.. &*()! my hands burn becoz of the glue.. sakit siot!! menjerit2 kat umah.. masa tu nak nangis pun ada. stress yang amat! Korang boleh gelak.. but i think that would be my last ..that time, saja nak amik feel orang nak kawin.... and kot orang kata, kalau decorate sendiri boleh jimat.. hmm for me, HELL NO! kot pandai tak apalah kan.. macam aku nie? heheheh den sanggup hantar tempah.. :P , and there goes another budget for the BIG DAY , hantaran budget rm500 .$$$$ :)

Regardless whether we got the money or not, but we made our precise budget. Yes, Rm 3K . Cannot more than that and if less, Alhamdulillah. Whether we made it?! .. You will know..in 2 mins.

The first thing that we bought for our coming Engagement day was the ring. Yes, the Habib Sale ring, that saved us few hundreds after the 70% or 60% discounts.. aku dah tak ingat. so mmg asal2 ribu raban jugak lah kan.. But alhamdulillah. And it was fun! The shopping i mean was great! First time nak cari cincin sendiri kak oi!! Siapa tak suka.. yer tak?

Then , we off to buy kain ela as hantaran .. nyum nyum!! berpeluh ketiak kuar masuk kedai kain kat Jalan TAR tu. pening nak decide mana yang best! Akhirnya.. beli lah jugak.. Then beli sepasang kain telekung..first time jugak belik telekung sembahyang sendiri.. kot selalu, mak ajerlah yg tukang beli and sponsor.. so i guess, this time that telekung sembahyang would be the one that i will keep for future as kenang2an. ;)

but yang paling best.. masa beli baju pertunangan.. we bought jubah.. white jubah with manik2.. masa nie, kot sesiapa yg tgk gambar semua pun kata cantik.. and bile tanya beli kat mana, tak ramai yg percaya yang we got it from First Lady kat Ampang Park. Ada yang even tak percaya yg aku boleh masuk First Lady..Ahh? Naper pulak? for me.. biar cantek.. and murah.. betul tak? kalau nak mahal2 sangat pun tapi pakai hanya sekali.. amatlah rugi.. kan?

And di pendekkan cerita, on 29 January 2005, confirm lah aku jadi tunangan orang. Uwaah!! :( ' susahnye ..kot kot reza berubah perangai lepas tunang.. takut jugak '..macam macam masa nie. And again, kalai nie, alhamdulillah.. semua pun berjalan dengan lancar. Meriah.. Siap khemah.. Nasi Beriyani yang best! cumanye.. makeup aku masa tu.. hancuss!! uwaaah!! benci gile! well, better not to talk about it bcoz aku sangat benci tgk muka sendiri.. enuf to say yg reza call me burung hantu and abang aku kat arab panggil aku pucung waktu siang.. :(( uwaaaahh... sedih!

p/s: so as pengajaran.. even bertunang, better cari mak andam or orang yg mmg pandai make up. dont be burung hantu like me.. hehehhehe

So alhamdulillah.. rm3k cover all .. makan minum, langsir, cadar, kotak2 hantaran, hantaran and so on..and masa nie, lagi lah semangat aku nak kumpul duit for the big day.. insyallah!

After this, lagi banyak cerita suka duka..frankly, i would say .. so many dugaan.and tell you what, memang le betul orang kata, tunang lama2 nie banyak godaan and cabarannye..:)
